The Boardman HYB 8.9E womens Hybrid Electric Bike is a commuter / recreational flatbar e-bike which uses the Fazua Evation drive system. It utilises a 1×10 Microshift drivetrain with a wide range of gears and Tektro hyrdaulic disc brakes.
The Fazua Evation e-bike drive system features an integrated 250W motor producing 60Nm of torque and a removable 250Wh battery.This gives the Boardman HYB 8.9E a range of up to 60 miles on the “Breeze Mode” setting. There are 3 levels of assistance which can be changed using the remote on the handlebars. The whole Fazua system weighs 4.6kg. The battery and motor unit can be removed and replaced with a cover (sold separately) giving a useful storage compartment. Doing this means you can ride your bike like a normal (non e-bike).
